Paper weekend
2-day intensive workshop in Berlin
Saturday, July 25 — 11:00 to 17:00
Pulp - Waxing & Paper Mâché — Exploration Day
We begin by gathering as a group to introduce the context of the workshop. Each participant will define a personal starting point: a concept, question, or area of interest to explore. This is not a fixed plan, but rather a flexible direction that can evolve throughout the process.
From there, we begin working directly with the material: preparing paper pulp, testing different types of paper, and exploring their tactile and structural qualities. This is a day of experimentation, where ideas emerge through making.
The focus is on creating a dialogue between you and the material, allowing intuition, repetition, and chance to guide the process.
Sunday, July 26 — 11:00 to 16:00
Refining & Expanding
We begin by carefully reviewing everything produced on Saturday. We sort, reflect, and identify which elements have the potential to be developed further.
From this material exploration, each participant continues working on what feels most relevant. Some directions may be refined, while others may be transformed or reinterpreted through new experiments.
The studio becomes a space for deeper focus, where processes are extended and decisions emerge through making rather than overthinking.
We close the workshop with a collective sharing session. Each participant presents their process, discoveries, and the evolution of their work throughout the weekend.
The focus is not on achieving a final result, but on understanding the journey: the choices, unexpected moments, and discoveries that shape each individual’s work.
Maximum 6 participants — all materials included.
