THE PAPER ROOM
A weekend programme exploring paper through experimentation
and slow making.
-

DAY 1
Saturday, July 25 / 11:00 to 17:00
Exploration Day
Handmade paper, paper pulp, encaustic and wax treatments, artisanal embossing, 3D mold-making, and paper mâché.
We begin by gathering as a group to introduce the context of the workshop. I will share insights from my own experience, my working process, and the different ways I approach paper as a material. This opening creates a space for conversation, exchange, and curiosity.
Each participant will define a personal starting point: a concept, question, or area of interest to explore. Rather than following a fixed outcome, we will allow the process to evolve through experimentation and discovery.
From there, we begin working directly with the material: preparing paper pulp, testing different types of paper, and exploring their tactile and structural qualities. Ideas emerge through making, observation, and dialogue.

DAY 2
Sunday, July 26 - 11:00 to 16:00
We begin by revisiting the work created on the first day. Together, we will sort, reflect, and identify which elements have the potential to be developed further.
Each participant will continue exploring their own material research, refining, transforming, and reinterpreting their ideas through new experiments.
The studio becomes a space for deeper focus, where processes unfold through making and where decisions emerge naturally from the material.
We close the workshop with a collective sharing session, where each participant presents their process, discoveries, and the evolution of their work throughout the weekend.
The focus is not on achieving a final result, but on understanding the journey: the choices, unexpected moments, and discoveries that shape each individual practice.
With this ticket, you’ll have access to the first day of the workshop ,a full day of exploration, learning, and creative exchange. I will share methods, techniques, and concepts from my working process, including paper pulp, handmade paper, wax and encaustic techniques, artisanal embossing, 3D molds, and more. A unique opportunity to experience paper from a completely different perspective: experimental, tactile, and transformative.
